Free Holiday Printables!

Hey ya'll!  I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday!  I must say I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I am making small attempts in getting back into the swing of things after taking this week off from blogging.  I know some of you can't tell because I posted some this week but I was very much MIA!

It was a nice break but I am ready to jump back in and get some holiday decorating done around the crib!  I have already put up the tree and some decorations but I still need to put the decor on the tree.

I wanted to share with you today some printables I whipped up today to go along with some of my holiday decor.  After a very frustrating search for printables that incorporated my homeboy Jesus I decided that I needed to make my own.  Most of the free printables on the net are Christmas oriented but still weren't what I wanted.

Here is what I created...

I'll show you how they turned out and where I put them next week.  Click on the caption if you would like to print them up to use.  Just don't be stealing, lol (and I am very much aware that I have jacked up the English language).  Have a great weekend!

Not only am I thankful, but I am grateful!

I am grateful to God for being just who he is.

I am grateful for my life, health, and strength.

I am grateful for my mother.

I am grateful for the wisdom passed on from my Granny.

I am grateful for being blessed with a husband as beautiful as my big toe:)

I am grateful for my daughter.

This list could go on and on...so I'll ask you...

What are you grateful for?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I'll see you all next week!

Statement of Faith

I believe in God, my father. I believe that God became man, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and rise from death so that we may have everlasting life.

We are saved by grace, not by our actions and that in by being saved we have faith in the death of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, forgiveness of sin, and everlasting life. Eph 2:8-9

I believe that the bible is God breathed and every word written is inspired by God. John 1:1-14

I believe in the Holy Trinity: God, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus will return and will separate believers from non-believers and that the believers will live eternally. Matthew 24:1-44

God's Perfection

Oh yeah, this is a random one for you!  I’ve been in a share feelings kind of mode, sorta taking a break from beautifying the crib.  I have projects to do but I just don’t wanna.  Instead I wanna work on my fro.  Told you this was random…

Ever since cutting off the rest of my relaxed ends in April I have been relieved to not have to wrap, tap, straighten out, and virtually perform miracles on my head.  I’m learning that my natural hair likes to stand up.  Really stand up.  I definitely don’t remember it being this way when I was child because my Mom kept the infamous Pink Oil slathered amongst my locks so it didn’t have a choice really but to do what she wanted it too.

Well now I am laying low on the silicones, sulfates, and Lord knows what else are in the hair products.  I co- wash (wash with conditioner) and detangle once a week and let it do its own thing.  However now I am growing bored.  Don’t get me wrong I love the fro but sometimes I just want to rock curls and that’s it, not the curly fro.

It’s been quite darn exhilarating rocking my fro especially when people tell you that you look a hot mess and that you need to comb your hair.  Ha, I know I am weird, but I actually got satisfaction from it.  Satisfaction…why you might ask?  Because I’m learning to except myself the way God intended me to be before I was even introduced to this judgmental world.  I am excepting God’s perfection, not ours.

So with all of that being said, I am actually going to try my hardest to twist my hair throughout the week so I can train my hair to do something other than stand up.  And I highly encourage all of you ladies who rock said hair-do’s simply to please others to try doing things your way.  Rock your hair the way you want even if someone is telling you something different and see the God in you, and forget about them!

Ignore the forehead, just had to give you a pic...oh and Emily from Nap Time is My Time made this awesome headband!  Like it, you could get your own at her shop!  (and by the way, this isn't a hyped post, I just love my headband and wanted to share)
