My Biggest Challenge

Up to a week ago I would say that my designing experience has been rather smooth.  So smooth that I asked God during prayer one night to bring on the challenge.  I wanted to learn and I needed someone who would challenge me enough to step out of my comfort zone.

Little did I know that the challenge would come so soon.  Be careful what you prayer for because sometimes He responds immediately and it took me off guard.  It took me off guard so that I took the weekend to relax and mumble about how much this design was about to drive me nuts.

It was all good though because I needed it and in the end I learned so much more.

My challenge came from a lovely blogger, Lisa, owner of The Domestic Life Stylist.  I neglected to take a screenshot of her blog before the makeover (update: she gave me her screenshot of the before, YAY!) but some of the things she wanted as far as design caused me to flinch a little.

I had to take a step back and actually realize that this was indeed God answering my prayer and now it was up to me to step up.  I didn't want to fail and I definitely didn't want to disappoint Lisa.  I actually could understand and see the things she wanted as far as design elements but it was challenging for me to actually do it because it involved a bit of coding.

Anyways I won't ramble but I do want to thank Lisa.

Thank you for challenging me.  Even though I may have had a few evenings of pouting, I was only pouting because I was doubting myself. I was depending on me when I surely needed to be leaning on Jesus. It was only Him that could deliver.

Without further adieu I want to show you a screenshot of her blog.  She already had the magnificent logo for her blog/business so all I needed to do was add the necessary modern and fresh touches that she desired.

Here is the before...

and here's the after...

So if there are any of you out there who want to just give your blog a little spruce up I have came up with a little package that can address your needs without you spending a bunch of money and breaking the bank.
