It's been an interesting ride. A ride I have contemplated whether or not I want to continue to ride. I love blogging. I love having a way to express myself.
However, I hate the anxious feeling that I get from the experience. Being in the grocery store and looking at an orange and wondering whether there's a post to it or not. Tired of wrestling with thoughts of whether I'm truly liked or just another blog out here in blog land.
I still haven't decided whether or not The Crib will be here in the long haul. I'll just say that I plan to slow down. Way down. I've recently made some changes to The Crib. As some may have noticed I have changed the look. I have also gotten rid of Google Friend Connect.
Google Friend Connect. It's evil to me. Watching that number fluctuate did nothing for my confidence as far as blogging was concerned. I got rid of it and I'm content with that. As of now I could care less what that number says.
I've learned a lot this year and one thing that has stuck out is that I want a LIFE more than anything else. I have other interests that have been piqued as well, such as blog designing. I've also rekindled a passion of mine for designing invitations
I am going to explore. The Scott's Crib will still be here. I'll post once a week at least. Sometimes less. I'll host the LaThrifta Cheap Finds and Transformations Party monthly or either I will leave it open for you all to link up your finds indefinitely.
It's time to do some other things that have brought me joy. So if on some weeks you don't hear anything from me its not because I don't care, I do, but I choose LIFE and unfortunately I don't want all of my LIFE to solely based on this blog.
This is not goodbye for me, this is a new beginning. Expect more announcements and more changes from me because even though I'm not on the crib scene as much as I used to be, it definitely doesn't mean that I am not working.
Thank you to my followers. Especially the ones that I speak to through email regularly. I really cannot express the joy that I get when I see that I have an email from Brandi, Pink Lady, Jen, or Elesha:) You gals really brighten my day up. Thank you for your encouraging words and your thoughtful visits. For bloggers, its the comments that really keep us going.
I have a few more posts for you this month and after that I am taking a little hiatus. Our wedding anniversary is coming up and I will be taking time off to spend with the hubby and the kid.
From now on I'm only writing when truly inspired. No longer will I be standing in the produce looking at the orange and convincing myself that it will be a good post. No more of that. I'll keep you updated on the things that have made the crib successful this far. So stay tuned.
And don't worry, I won't keep you waiting that long;)
